How to get there?

There are a number of ways to get from Dublin International Airport to Barberstown Castle in County Kildare or alternatively a few of the other local airports all located within fifteen minutes of the venue.

Are taxis available?

Yes, taxis are at the airport and safe to take. On average a Taxi Ride from Dublin to the Castle should cost approximately $50 euro though that's based on current pricing.

Is there a bus schedule?

Aircoach runs frequently, roughly every 30 to 60 minutes from Dublin Airport to Kildare. The bus ride entails 3 different buses though and will likely take about 2 hours.

Renting a car

Car rentals in Ireland are readily available at the Airport once you've departed baggage claim (reservations required).

Yes, they do drive on the 'wrong' side of the road in Ireland and the steering wheel is on the right hand side of the car, but aside from having to pay a bit of extra attention, it's quite enjoyable to do so. The drivers are very courteous and the country roads are incredible.

For the faint at heart, there are plenty of automatic transmission options available though please make sure when making your reservation to specify which you would like.

Any tips for first-time visitors?

If you haven't ever been to Ireland before, feel free to call us, well in advance of the wedding (ha ha ha) for to answer any questions you might have.

Is there Uber or Lyft?

Uber does exist in Ireland but is a bit different than what we're used to as it just connects you to existing Taxi Services. So you can either just hail a taxi or use Uber as you would at home.
